As I sat with an Indian friend in a cafe, while we had dinner, he said "I will be back"!
My mind raced back to the day, when I was sitting in a group meeting in France among 2 French and 1 Indonesian friend, and I said, 'I will be back!'. They asked me, where are you going? and I said, in Indian culture, its not decent to say out loud in public, "I am going to the TOLIET!", so we try and say politely, 'I will be back!'
After being in an international environment for 5 months, it was strange to get back to my own people today.I laughed at little things, interesting actions and funny English, which must have amused my international friends initially! We were all put in a cultural pot to broth together, and understand each others flavours and come out as an international delicacies, adaptable to any culture, country or people.
Will it be easy or difficult to get back home...I wonder?
