chicken tikka masala !

Will you cook Chicken Tikka Masala for me?!
asked a French friend while I had my lunch in the cafeteria.
Hes a great buddy and a dear group mate,
But others are very vain!

They travel in the bus with frown faces,
but wish good morn to everyone on the pavement,
The Frenchies are strange when mixed with the Internationals,
its "hello, how are you?" by day
and "do i know you by evening?!"

Secret Santa ! ! !

After an American Thanksgiving dinner,
it is time to play the Secret Santa game with my classmates at IAE!
So, the game goes like this,
everyones names are written on a pieces of paper and put into a hat.
Each person picks out a paper. The name on the paper is your gift reciever and you are his Secret Santa!
So you gotta run your brain wild and start researching on what your friend will like the most for his Christmas gift. Mine is not too easy, since she/he is only of a kind in the class! Just like me! :)

Cant wait to unwrap my first Christmas present,
when we dine together at the pre Christmas dinner on 16th Dec!

Its not in their culture

"Would you like to try some dandee noodles?"
"try some of my dinner!"

DO NOT expect to hear these words from your friends/room mates when you are studying abroad,
cuz its not not in their culture at all.
We, Indians are brought up in a different manner.Learning to share & care was a part of my convent school  academic training.I would be spanked hard by my sister (read nun) at school, if I dared, NOT to share my tiffin.SO much so that, we used to eat up all of Ishita's tiffin in college at times and her mom would get all our good wishes :D
Its irritating to hear a NO, everytime you offer your food/dinner to your friends,
like an insult or a rude remark, that you do not like my food!
But, like I said, the virtue of kindness must never be lost,
cuz deep down in my soul,
I am still a True Indian!
